Bravo! You've put your finger squarely on the evil of those who think 
they know best what others should do. I never forget that the purpose of 
the Inquisition in which thousands were horribly tortured and burned at 
the stake was to do save their souls from eternal damnation. In other 
words, not only the arrogance of telling others how to live, but also what 
to think. We saw the same arrogance at work with communism in the 
20th century. Result: millions murdered. So such arrogance is not just 
pathetic as you say, but menacing
