Bodvar to Andre:
But Pirsig wanted to be more Taoist than Laotse and made the error of
declaring the MOQ part of "what can be named". But for Chrissake
the MOQ merely says that DQ is dynamic, and saying this can't be any
"naming". One may be too smart ("A bridge too far").
Andre the teaser:
Bodvar, if you insist on stressing that Quality= truly the one and
only Reality, dynamic, transitory, ever-changing and everything else
and you suggest that there is no distinction between naming DQ and
experiencing DQ then I do not know why you suggest that the only way
to really understand the MoQ is through your SOL.
To name anything is to define, encapsulate it and Pirsig had a real
difficult time, as related in LILA, to commit himself to 'doing it
anyway'.
Your SOL does not exist! The MoQ does not exist! The inorganic,
organic, social and intellectual levels do not exist! They are illusory
because transitory, ever changing. You cannot 'lay you head and call
it home'.
It is pure convenience to talk about Quality in this way...i.e. in
this everyday world of events and subjects and objects as they appear
to us...yes... your SOL/SOM!
But really...they are an illusion, all of it. Every last bit of it!
The MoQ is a high quality idea!
I have strayed from your path...alas, the 'land' of Quality is
pathless and , quite frankly, the less I think about it, the more
enjoyable it is.
Cheers
Andre
