I may have given you that impression by posting different takes in different posts but my take is very much like yours. I think. 1. He claims to be an "empirical scientist" but he has never done any real science. Doesn't have much more than a high school science education. 2. He is a self described poor student of [academic] philosophy passing his BA in part based on the leniency of his teachers. Then failing at two attempts for a higher degree in philosophy. Most of his philosophic thought are based on highly selective reading focused on proving his premise. 3. His academic career was short. In it he seemed isolated principally by his attitude and actions with a disgust of academia in general and MSU in particular. That he compares himself with Sidis at least gives a hint he was somewhat aware of his plight but was unable or unwilling to do anything about.
