More have died in human history "in the name of god" than we can likely ever
tally. Note: The guys responsible for the Amerindian genocides were
"Christians". 

Of course, there have been countless theists and atheists who pursue peace. All
this proves is that theists and atheists alike can commit either horrible acts
of violence, or do good. 

How about a murderer is a murderer, and can find justification anywhere? How
about structures of power, whether theist or atheist, can foster and condone
war, murder, genocide and other acts of horror? How about is the sheep who are
more interested in "being a team player" than doing what is right that allow
these despotic power structures to grow? Indeed, whether you call it
patriotism, nationalism or theocracism, the problem is ALWAYS the blind
obedience and zombie-like chanting for those in power.

Or is that not wingnut enough for you? Doesn't spread ideological fear the way
you'd like?
