[Platt]
Human individuals are composites of the four levels of static value patterns
plus ability to respond to DQ. The static intellectual level doesn't have that
ability. That's why individuals are a separate category. They are the shakers
and movers of the evolution of life.

[Arlo]
Every level is composed on individual patterns engaged in collective activity.
There is no need for a "separate category" for humans, all things fall into the
MOQs four categories, except Dynamic Quality of course.

"Static intellect level" is redundant, all "patterns" are static patterns of
value. As such, all patterns respond to Dynamic Quality within their means. An
amoeba can respond to DQ inorganically and biologically. A dog with a greater
degree of biological responses. A human can respond socially and
intellectually. The "levels" can be thus thought of as "response ranges" the
individual pattern has to Dynamic Quality.

Humans, as Pirsig points out, are only the "movers and shakers of
[intellectual] life" as part of a social milieu. Without this, they can move
and shake biologically, but not much else.
