Marsha to dmb:

A major premise of the MoQ is Quality(Dynamic Quality/static quality), how can
you really separate it in any meaningful way? Do you? If we check back
through your posts, do discover you have never addressed Dynamic Quality?

Andre:
It seems to me that it is time you re-read LILA again Marsha. Starting,
preferably at the beginning but with regard to your response, Chapter 9 will do
as well. There you will read all about reasons for NOT addressing Quality.

Also: "Whenever one talks about Dynamic Quality someone else can take whatever is
said and make a static pattern out of it and the dialectically oppose that
pattern".( Anthony's PhD, p68)

Also: In the MOQ, then, reality (as a whole) is denoted by the term 'Quality'
which Pirsig divides into Dynamic Quality and static quality. 'Quality' (with a
capital 'Q')is used to denote reality (by which Pirsig regards as the totality
of what exists) in addition to its traditional context as a term for
excellence... while Dynamic Quality denotes the unconceptualised part of
reality. Consequently, the term 'Dynamic Quality' is not meant to be a concept
but only a referring term:

It's important to keep all 'concepts' out of Dynamic Quality. Concepts are
always static. Once they get into Dynamic Quality they'll overrun it and try to
present it as some kind of concept itself. (Pirsig, 1997e).(ibid, p35)

'Anything that is undefined is outside metaphysics, since metaphysics can only
function with defined terms.'(LILA, p110)

Quality is the pre-intellectual cutting edge... . Not this, not that, not
anything.

And you want dmb to address Dynamic Quality? What is there to say? So that you,
Marsh, can turn it into one of your many warped intellectual chess pieces?

Read ZMM!

And, just for the record, dmb has said many things about DQ and Mysticism. You
need to take a better look at the archives. Some of his posts on DQ stem from
1998 and carry on in 2002,3,and 4.

Seems like you need to do put your eyes through some exercises and shut your
mouth.
