Marsha to dmb:
I apologized because I respect Steve and I don't want to be seen as dishonest.
It was the wrong thing to do. I meant the apology.

dmb says:
The implication is that your apology was only half sincere and largely
motivated by vanity. The implication is that you have no actual remorse and
you're more concerned about your appearance than any actual wrong-doing. Don't
get me wrong. I'm not surprised.

As I see it, there is really only one reason why you distrust and disrespect
anything I say. You cannot stand the fact that I'm critical of your claims and
assertions. Apparently, you cannot deal in any legitimate way with the fact
that I fundamentally disagree with your relativistic, nihilistic reading of
Pirsig. So you deal with it in illegitimate ways. So far we only have one
half-hearted apology. But was for just one of many such stunts, one example of
something that's become a regular habit and your standard operating method.
It's approximately the opposite of talking philosophy. It's a systematic means
of evading the criticism. It's childish, destructive, ego-driven bullshit. As I
see it, it only proves that you have no business being in a place like this.
