Hi Joe, Imho, DQ is that which generates concepts. So "pre-conceptual" doesn't really describe it very well. At least to me. "pre" just means "before" and what comes before isn't indicative of anything meaningful, as its virtually and infinitely meaninglessly meaningless.
But I can sort of see how some people might find it a useful descriptor. It's just that I don't.
