Hi Dave,

So, basically, you just resent the idea that I could "teach" you
anything. You feel humiliated by the suggestion that somebody might
understand something you don't. Okay, but I think that's a personal
problem, a matter of self-esteem, and it has very little to do with
philosophy or anyone's rhetorical style.

Matt:
Heh, yeah, that's it.

I do want to say that I think there's a difference between the
rhetorical presentation of a kindergarten teacher and a university
professor, and between them and my peers and my friends, who I
am constantly learning from. In fact, I'd like to think I learn, and am
open to learning, from people that don't even think of themselves as
teachers or even as knowing or understanding something.

I'd like to think that, particularly in this latest of our series of
exchanges, that I tried avoid discussion of what I still consider to be
your bad writing and style of communication, and focused on just the
content, as you always asked. But I couldn't understand what you
were doing, what you were taking issue with in my content, nor what
the purpose of your content was. Not till the end did it become
apparent that we were just not meant to be conversation partners.

Thanks again for trying,

Matt
