Not sure there is a reason to accept or reject other people's ideas. I do reject having other people try to force me to accept their ideas, and I would hope you would reject that too. I am often surprised how much my conventional thinking has evolved over the last few years and that evolution contains an interest in where other people are in their thinking rather then where they should be. I would like to think the opposite of 'rejecting' is 'not rejecting' rather than a forced 'accepting'.
