Indeed. Contemplating pond scum can bring about a golden moment of
blessed silence.

It seems kind of self serving to state, as a creature already evolved from
swamp scum, that this is a better station than that. But it is the height of
vanity to go on to assert that not only is it better; but my version of
'betterness' is a universal principle. And this principle of 'betterness' is
a driving force in evolution.
