I like "not limited by" due to the co-existence
factor this implies. The "over and above" doesn't
make sense, to me, due to my direct experience

Not really. People disagree on what metaphysics
is, that's what I get from this quote above. So, you
have your way of defining not only what metaphysics
is, but due to this inclination your metaphysics is
lodged into a certain direction that by your
inclination your outcome could only be such an
outcome: your thesis. I see your thesis as the only
possible outcome to your definition of metaphysics,
which includes how metaphysics is to be used, thus,
for what purposes. This goes for me. My defining of
what metaphysics is, leads to the only possible
outcome for how I will view and explain.
