But if you enjoy it, it is easier to do. I hated to workout most times, but
once I found things I enjoy about my workouts, I go regularly and hate it if
I miss a workout. I dislike regular math, but give me a word problem or
problem to solve requiring math skills, and I'm on it...because I love a
good puzzle. I hate weeding the flowerbed, but the pleasure I receive from
looking at my flowers or smelling the blooms makes it pleasurable. Reading
is just an extension of your pleasures. If you like gardening, you'll enjoy
reading a book about gardens. If you like hunting, you might enjoy a book
about big-game hunting in Africa. If you like woodworking, there are many
books with plans, ideas, and techniques to help you be a better woodworker.
I used to work in a bookstore, and most people read non-fiction, not
novels...and there are books for EVERY subject imaginable. It isn't the act
of reading that should be enjoyable...it's adding to your knowledge of what
you enjoy. Reading does that....
