So the fable goes, which is why I suggest we eliminate Microsoft from
discussion on this issue. Here's what NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR 4.77, A
WHOLLY NON-MICROSOFT PRODUCT which therefore by definition is not able
to magically "hide" its memory usage and is not evil and isn't spelled
with a '$' instead of an 'S' although it should be, uses:

NC 4.77: 13,580 K.

That's with http://home.netscape.com/ (not a blank page) open in a
browser window, AND with the email/newsgroup reader open, AND with me
composing this post.

What say you Gerv? Want me to try the exact same thing with Mozilla and
see what numbers we get? Oh that's right, Tim and I have already done
that, and we come up with FORTY PLUS meg.

Well that's fine, let's compare non-blank pages:

NC 4.77: 13.5 MB
Mozilla: 40+ MB and growing.
