This usually happens to me in 0.8.1 when selecting some text and 
pressing backspace. Never happens to me for any other reason. I work 
around by using delete instead, which doesn't cause the problem.

Granted, it's not a bug that should show up in a release product, but 
that's more for appearances than any real problems it might cause. It's 
more unseemly than debilitating.
