I respect MacAddict, but if they actually said that, then they have
their heads up their rears.  Unix hasn't always been open source (in
fact, Unix today is not open source; FreeBSD [which is not, strictly
speaking, Unix] is open source, and that's what OS X is based off of),
and it is as close to secure as you can get, considering the code has
been refined for close to 30 years.  Apple often gained security by
obscurity; there weren't enough servers running the MacOS for hackers to
go after them in great numbers.  Unix and the MacOS may very well have
as many security holes as Windows, but Windows is a much more popular
target.
