And 3 times tonight I've had IE 6 lock up my system. Well, not actually
the entire system. Here's what I did:
Right clicked a link, Open in New Window (much harder than mozilla's
middle click)
New Window starts to open, IE "freezes". I can switch between other
windows, but none of them respond to any actions. If I try to open My
Computer, or Start, Run, <any path to a folder>, try to open task
manager, do anything that would be a basic Windows Explorer function, it
does nothing. And it sat there for over 5 minutes like this. I had
Mozilla open already, so I proceeded to surf with Moz, chat on AIM, read
my email with Eudora, etc. Just couldn't launch any new apps. Finally
about 5 minutes after trying to open the new window, a million folders
opened up, Task Manager popped up, and the IE window I was trying to
open came up with it's generic "Unable to display page" error message.
Was quite fun, really. Oughta try it sometime
