Most users (99%+) won't understand this pref. Maybe something like a 
"preferred send format" with options "Plain text (basic)", "Plain text 
(flowed)" and "HTML". They still won't understand but the ordering will 
tell them that flowed is more advanced than basic.

I still vote for fixing the width problem with html and flowed mails 
first so that you won't have to have the text all the width of the 
window. That is the biggest useability issue IMHO.

The vertical bars is something to get used to (unless you're a die hard 
"show me the raw mail" fan and then like. It is just a transformation to 
increase readability and because gecko can't display blockquotes in any 
other way.
