Jon Sez: I would highly doubt any reaction other than "how lame".The
Overwhelming Culture here ( proudly including my old Norwegian self ya know)
has tried to launch ethnic jokes at itself for some time now. Turned out they
were just as pale and bland as the food. Couple a kids from St. Louis Park did
a nice job in "Fargo" but then they weren't members of the O.C. were they now?
We all laughed don't ya know.
I sent the first reaction to Mr. Thai's post and I tried to
incorporate a little humor in it by writing the absolute Whitest, most diabolically
professorial sentence I could come up with. Absolutely no one got it. Ehh.
I accept completely that Tom was trying for humor. It turned out to
be a failed joke. Really not a big deal. Let's get back to whether the Mayor
shaves his own back and other routine threads.
