About the City Ordinances on the Minneapolis website, I agree with all the other comments that the current system where it is farmed out to some group (no doubt for a high price) is extremely hard to use -- almost worthless. (And that outside website actually uses the antiquated frames technology! Most smart web developers stopped using frames about 1996.) At least the city web site could have a link to a downloadable text version of the entire city ordinances. Then I could download that and search it myself. But I expect their contract with this outside vendor prohibits that.

Also, the State White Pages site is refreshed daily from the state payroll files. Easy to do automatically once that is set up, and works fine regardless of high or low turnover. And it's pretty accurate -- employees are generally pretty careful to maintain their info accurately in the payroll file!
