Including the equal protection clause.
Second, if Jennings was chosen for his connections to the leaders of the
Republican Party, that was the biggest shortcircuit since the East Coast

What is the School Board doing now? By Ed Felien
<snip>
Why would they appoint a former head of the Republican Party to lead the
schools in a heavily Democratic city?
He was determined by the school board to be qualified - and what would it
matter if he was a Democrat or Republican - as long as he administered the
Minneapolis public school system without being a social or political activist.
Why would they appoint a white male to lead a school system that is now a
majority non-white?
This is an unbelievably pathetic question. It is clearly indicative that you believe
race is a qualifying factor. Is race now a bona fide standard for hiring personnel
in the Board of Education? White males can not administer a school system made
up of various racial and ethic groups? Should black teachers only teach black students?
Should white teachers only teach white students?
East Asians? South Asians? North Africans? Sub-Saharan Africans?
Jews? Muslims? Pentecosts? Seventh-Day Adventists?
You, and those who believe as you, are the new segregationists.
Disgusting.
Why would they appoint someone to lead a school system predominantly made up
of people of color who voted against making Martin Luther King Day a State
holiday and who voted against sanctions for South Africa when it was
practicing apartheid?
You did not ask, then quote his reasons for voting. What then, exactly, are you implying?
