Whoever said this? Did a school board person say it? I must have missed that. If no one said it, then it seems like we are inferring that the school board members are so dumb that that they would go "like hey, here's a republican guy - maybe he can get us in with his friends in St. Paul!" I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case. I would be shocked if they didn't know about his tenous relations with Pawlenty, et. al. before selecting him.
