It doesn't matter what Mr. Jennings skin color is. It is a disservice to the public to appoint anyone to a position that educates so many minds and is not qualified to do so. I am Black with a Masters Degree from Harvard and I was not approached. Mr. Jennings received far more attention and consideration than I due to political connections and money management, neither are qualifications to lead our children.
It is not a matter of race, it is a matter of exclusiveness vs inclusiveness and we were not included in the process, we were excluded.

He was determined by the school board to be qualified - and what would
it
matter if he was a Democrat or Republican - as long as he administered
the
Minneapolis public school system without being a social or political
activist.

This is an unbelievably pathetic question. It is clearly indicative
that you believe
race is a qualifying factor. Is race now a bona fide standard for
hiring personnel
in the Board of Education? White males can not administer a school
system made
up of various racial and ethic groups? Should black teachers only teach
black students?
Should white teachers only teach white students?
East Asians? South Asians? North Africans? Sub-Saharan Africans?
Jews? Muslims? Pentecosts? Seventh-Day Adventists?
You, and those who believe as you, are the new segregationists.
Disgusting.

You did not ask, then quote his reasons for voting.
What then, exactly, are you implying?
