[TB] The Superintendent, doesn't really educate. S/he leads a system that does. We need a person who will lead the system. I have a great deal of respect for organizations that promote their existing employees. It shows that their respect for those that have been doing a good job for the organization. The Board has someone that they know they can work with because they have been doing it for the time that he has been COO. No amount of reference checking can replace that. In this case, I think it was a big plus to have someone with some experiece working outside an educational setting. We are all a product of all of our experiences and to bring in these outside the educational arena experiences is a value many candidates don't have. Those that forced Jennings to withdraw did the district no favors. Terrell Brown Loring Park __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
