Read only while sober and seated. TIA. Dave Jennings has been described by "insiders I know" as a great Speaker of the House. He was firm but fair in what was a turbulent time at the Legislature (yes, I know, WHAT session HASN'T been, but he was Speaker during a brief moment of daylight in the decades of DFL hegenomy of Minnesota Government and he ran a tight ship.) Dave is a person who has seemingly changed from life experience. He has gone from a good, respected GOPer in the Al Quie sense to a despised RINO (Repubilcan In Name Only) among many GOP adherents (not me). This is a talented and intelligent man, degrees or not. He has learned his life's lessons at Schwan Foods and the Mpls Chamber and basically ran the Mpls Schools for Ms. Johnson and was perfectly suited to lead the Mpls Schools out of its downward spiral. Ah, but he is a middle-aged white guy, and that's what the kerfuffle is all about, despite protestations to the contrary. We all know it, but who many are honest enough to admit it?
