Well, I had to look up contumely (My dictionary says: insulting words or actions, humiliating treatment; A humiliating insult. Well, then I must say, "that in the internal ring of the Park Board I would have to say contumely is a very clear description of what is going on these days."

Thank goodness, the citizenry to whom we serve are being curious, supportive, questioning, doubting, very concerned and I still am waiting for some one out there to have the answer to the 5-4 voting dilemma facing trying to change anything for the better. There appears to not be a swing anywhere on that 5 side. I hope I am proven wrong by Jan. 2nd.

WM: I would contest this point. People are elected to be of service to the interests of their constituents, this does not make them servants in the traditional sense that kings, queens, and wealthy people may have servants. I sincerely hope that no one is treating them with the contumely that servants are often treated.
