DFL LEGISLATOR CAUGHT DISPLACING REPUBLICAN LITERATURE

Minneapolis, MN-This past week Phyllis Kahn exposed her true character when
she was caught illegally removing Republican literature from the homes of
the residents of New Hope. While assisting a fellow DFL candidate Sandra
Peterson, Kahn was cited by police for violating a local ordinance banning
such behavior.

Amanda Hutchins, the Republican endorsed candidate for Senator Kahn's office
in SD 59B, has been hard at work meeting with local residents and student
groups in the community. Her focus continues to be listening to the
concerns of the residents of 59B and inviting a more involved community to
have their concerns addressed at the Minnesota State House.

Phyllis Kahn has demonstrated two things this week:
? The first is that she has taken her constituency for granted. She
has been spending her summer campaigning in another part of the city, while
being absent from local events in her home community.
? Second, Phyllis revealed a few major flaws in her character. The
first has to do with her disrespect for the rule of law. The possibly more
revealing is her disrespect of the voting population. Her desire to remove
literature with an alternative voice can only mean that she felt that the
voters could not be trusted to make a decision based on all of the facts.

The Republican Party in Senate District 59B is confident that when the
voters are given all of the facts, they will choose Amanda Hutchins to
unseat Phyllis Kahn this fall.
