Amanda Hutchins, the Republican endorsed candidate for Senator Kahn's office in SD 59B, has been hard at work meeting with local residents and student groups in the community. Her focus continues to be listening to the concerns of the residents of 59B and inviting a more involved community to have their concerns addressed at the Minnesota State House.
Why doesn't Amanda Hutchins join this list and answer questions. All I know of her is that she is from "Students for Family Values" - and we all know "family values" tends to be code words for anti-gay Leviticus Crowd nuttiness - and her main campaign focus is social issues (anti-legal abortion, anti-stem cell research, Bachmann amendment, etc. How is that going to represent that district? She might be good in say - Corcoran.
As far as Phyllis Kahn's actions go - they are indefensible.

Saying creationism deserves equal time with the theory of evolution in the classroom is like saying I deserve equal time with Pavarotti at the Sydney Opera House.
