As I think, a friend of Phyllis Kahn, I could not be any more disappointed. Having
been in this game over 20 years, I always caution or insist to the wide eyed
youngsters who we goad into dropping lit, that at the most, if you overlap doors, ours
goes on top. I avoided penning yesterday as I was dwelling on this issue and somewhat
distraught. In reality what difference do door hangers make, a savvy politician is for
everything good and against everything bad, duh. If a politician from a largely
removed district knocks at my door representing another is-be or wante-be, the
response should be, what is your point. You did not live here, go home. Although
should a constitutional officer show at the door, offer them in for whiskey and
cigars. It disturbs me that with the issues of 59B, namely the 500 pound gorilla, the
University of Minnesota, the nitwits within the respective party call upon seated
officials to campaign in an area they no nothing about and should not have the time to
do. Although a subtle event, I will have to reconsider my decision to retire from
politics, and dwell on whose political life I can make miserable.
