Hmmm.   Some questions:

1.  What order will the tasks be in when you first switch to Manual sort?

2.  What happens when you (say) change the context in the Manual Sort view
such that those tasks that were on display are filtered out; but a whole
stack of new tasks appears - what order will these be in.

3   And having (say) manually sorted these tasks into a manual order, you
change the context again such that you have a mixture of tasks from both the
previous manual sorts.  How will they be ordered relative to each other.

I also think that an option to 'cancel' your current manual sort will be
needed - where the list reverts back to its state as per Question 1 above.

I am not being negative - I am just not sure that Manual sort is just
another sort.   I think it is something that you will need to 'layer' on top
of your current auto sort in some way.
