I am using the Gelish MiniPro LED 45 LED lamp I bought at Sally Beauty for $50. Yes $50. It is a 20 second base/45 second colour cure. You have to do fingers and thumbs separately. It works fine. I tried it on toes and it is too small to sit properly over someone's foot. But yes, it got me thinking, why would I pay so much more for a "professional" lamp. Here in Canada things are insanely expensive - the OPI LED lamp sells for $500 on sale at the distributor. No way am I forking out that kind of cash on a lamp. Anyway it works fine for Gelish manicures.

Let's fact it, our clients come to us because they can't polish their nails! (At least that what my customers tell me.) If they can't polish their nails, what on earth makes them think they can do UV gel polish nails to themselves...geez! Yeah, I know our clients come to us for a lot of reasons, but the polish one is a biggie.
