I forgot to mention that the spring connectors in the female Molex connectors can appear to be just fine, but if you check them with something that will fit and is roughly the same size as the mating pin, you might find a bad one. I use a dental pick and have found them this way easily. It's weird because they look like their neighbors, but once you push something in you'll find there is no tension.
