I can't see any reason why they can't go the AMD route, personally. ie. a
400Mhz K6-II chip, trade, would be no more than about $30.

By the end of the year, they could easily release a 500Mhz K6-II machine,
with a cool GFX chipset and OS, for well under �400.

As Gateway are pushing/selling K6-II machines, especially in the States,
their buying power for these chips should be taken advantage of.
