I think there is. On http://www.gvp-m.com there is a download for GVPIO
Serpat serial patch redirects calls to serail device to your chosen serial
device.

I found his trickky to set up and in any case question whether I want to
automatically mirror my website directory on the server. I've been saved a
few times by effectivly having a back up on the server :)
I'm interested in simpleftp which lets you do chmod via ftp using a gui.
