In Arizona back then, there weren't any Italian twins, just Triumphs; so the resemblance, which was not accurate with regards to the Triumph and puzzled me somewhat, now I understand... I do remember a Ducati single, but it was just a half a Honda engine..And that's just in retrospect here...

Early Honda's are mostly based on Italian designs. All the way up to and including the first 750/4. Other noteworthy attempts at cloning those sorts can be found in the Kawasaki twins W1 and W2. --- On Sat, 1/2/10, stanley/ Randolph <[email protected]> wrote: >From: stanley/ Randolph <[email protected]> >Subject: Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Carb Cleaning 101 - 31DEC09 Update >To: [email protected] >Date: Saturday, January 2, 2010, 2:49 PM > > >I was not referring to the top speed: in circuit races, the Norton wasn't as >fast as the Triumph, but handled better.
