Really? I never heard of a Norton Bonneville. Condensed history of the Triumph Bonneveille: September 1955: Johnny Allen sets the record with a two-way average speed of 193.3 MPH. September 1956: Johnny Allen takes back the record with a two way average speed of 214.17 (and NOT from a norton). 1962: Bill Johnson sets a record with a two way average speed of 230.269 MPH. 1966: Bob Leppan sets a record with a two way average speed of 245.66 MPH (albeit he used two 650 Bonneville engines to accomplish this). For the next few years Triumph fitted the Bonneville Roadsters with "World's Fastest Motorcycle" stickers. I love a good debate...send me something....I know you will ;)

Some of them liked to put a 650 engine in a Norton frame over there for the races...
