Hey Mike,

I too (now) have both an early 80s 650 and an early 90s 750. :D My brother
across the country!

Interestingly enough, my 650 is in a currently not-running state and my 750
is my DD, so... what a co-inky-dink!

For your chain question, I've been lubing it by putting the bike up on its
center stand on a level bit of concrete slab, letting it idle in low gear
while I spritz chain lube on the chain as it goes around the rear sprocket.
I have a little chocking action for the front wheel, so it can't rock
forward off it's center stand.

If you don't have a center stand on yours, might want to get one. I honestly
don't think I'd manage even half of I do in to that bike for maintenance
without it!

As for gas, my 750 runs fine on regular, but I do lose some performance and
economy; 1-3 mpg, well documented (I have an app on my Eris that lets me
keep track of costs, distances and volumes, with comments). I run premium,
it's worth it for me.

-Kurt
