Mike and All,
I'm sure there are as many opinions about luggage as there
are riders - but - I've heard many times about 'T-bags' - they make
this model for sissybar use:

I haven't used one myself - I've always lashed an L.L. Bean
backpack to the second seat on my NH with a cargo net. Works well for
storing stuff, not so much for getting at it easily, and really makes
the second passenger uncomfortable :-)
