I guess it depends on the model. My buddy has a f650 dualsport, and you have to drain the oil from two different parts of the bike, one of the drains is fairly high (where the gas tank will be in most bikes), which makes it very complicated. You also need to take out the fairings to do this (also if you want to get access to the battery). After few hours of work, half of my garage and himself cover on oil, he was able to finish the job. Now I understand why they charge so much at the bmw dealer.
