Hey thanks for the quick responses! :) I'm in upstate NY near Rochester. For this first time I would do the carb cleaning etc at a shop until I learned how to do it my self for future cleanings. I really want to learn how to do everything on the bike my self (I plan on making this a hobby of mine and I'm just starting to get into now). The only stuff hes done to it were oil changes I believe, so I figure it's in need of good cleaning at the least. The mufflers I could probably just rub out the rust and give them a good cleaning, though the rust on the bottom made me nervous because it looked deep (at a quick glance) and it was flaking. As far as replacing the whole exhaust I heard that they arent so great for the bike, is that true?
