I made the mistake of visiting the local Honda dealer here. They have a
BMW K1100RS ('93 ABS with ~49K miles, around $4K) and a Pacific Coast 800
(unsure of year, I think around 22K miles, no price on it - they apparently
just got it in recently).
I have a '92 750 with ~26K miles that I bought almost 2 years ago. I've
been eyeing the ST1100/ST1300s for the additional wind protection and
luggage carrying capability. Of course, it would likely be cheaper to add
hard bags to the NH for the luggage and you can add a fairing.
Realistically, it would take a lot of convincing of my wife to get anything
else and I would sell/trade in the NH to fund the purchase. I'll still see
if I can get a test ride out of them. Any thoughts on the relative
strengths/weaknesses of these 3 bikes?
