True that. Javier has a friend with one of their enduro type bikes, it took him 
3 hours and a huge mess in the garage just to change the oil himself. His had 
two separate oil tanks, it required removal of the airbox and what little 
fairings it has, along with a transfer pump.

I am partial to the ST since it’s a Honda and I own one, but I have 
recently looked at some BMW’s and my bro in law owns one.  The consensus is 
they are engineered very well, and have disgustingly expensive parts and or 
service.  And they do break down.  Having BMW repair them is insane.  $500 
of an oil change to get an idea.   I love my ST1300 but it does not have 
all the bells and whistles of BMW.  I think it is over engineered for what 
the average rider wants to spend. Before you buy that BMW I suggest you go 
price an air filter and brake pads.
