I agree on the BMW statement - hold on to you wallet. I am 6 ft 230 lbs & I sat on an ST but did not like the rider triangle. Pegs set further back than I like. I like my NH but it too has a tight triangle. I am in the process of doing some minor repairs & will add some hi-way pegs so I can change positions while riding on the freeway. I was at my local Honda dealer this past Saturday to get parts. Of course, I had to look at bikes. I like the shadow series & tried an Aero, either a Spirit or a Phantom & an RS. The Aero styles were ok except the forward foot controls. I have 2 misformed vertibrae in my cyatic area & I could tell that ff controls were going to be a problem in the long run. I sat on the RS & knew I had come home. The seat was just right, the handle bars were set correctly for me & the mid mount foot controls were a perfect fit. I wanted it then & there but alas & alack, they wanted money for it. So, anyone considering a sportster, take a serious look at the shadow RS.
