Jeremey is 100% correct lean is slow to return to idle. Rich will drop below idle then rise back up, pop in the exhaust while ideling, and/or stumble on takeoff. Yes you need slack on your throttle cables or they can hang the idle, also make sure they are not pinched bent or squished by the tank. Allen Thomas
