I am kind of partial to dd-wrt and I know that you can switch the WAN port to being used as an extra switch port. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WAN_Port I have a couple of these acting as wireless network clients where I haven't had the chance to run cable yet. The older WAP54G that I have occasionally needs to be rebooted, but I think that's because the hardware may be on it's last legs.
