One thing to note on the WRT54GL is that the ehternet switch is 10/100, in other words, it is NOT gigabit. This caught me by surprise and I had to do a bit of rewiring on my home network to take the router out of the "main switch" position and make it a gateway. Probably for the best anyway. I noticed this when trying to play video across my network. It worked prior to the "upgrade" and didn't work afterwards.
