Your service might not be an illusion, but it is getting really old having to turn in trouble tickets for copper in (and above) the ground. I would have several more days a years to do something other than wait on repair people if I had more lines on fiber. My guess is that copper repair also means keeping the people around that know how to do that (ie CWA workers).
