Just thought of a counter argument for my previous point.  Spending time on 
speeding up MiniAccumuloCluster is probably not worthwhile if ACCUMULO-1030 is 
implemented.   Accumulo users would incur MAC's startup cost once when using 
that plugin for IT.   So keeping the MAC API simple so we can speed it up in 
the future is not a valid argument.
