I am relatively certain the only important thing is that you will have
to run the executable from a 64bit machine. The changes that the code
makes to AD shouldn't have anything to do with the version. In other
words, the only difference between the adprep executable on the 32bit
version vs the 64bit version, is that one is compiled for 32bit systems
and the other is compiled for 64bit systems.

I can't say for 100% but I'd think not .... since you can mix 64 bit and
32 bit servers, as long as they have the same AD version .... Check for
the highest numbered schxx.ldf file on the media with the diskprep...
I'll find mine on the 32bit version media, and I'll bet they're the same
... I seriously doubt the schema is 32 bit or 64 bit dependent ...

Is it going to be a problem if my 2008 CD is the 64bit version?

run the 2008 adprep /forestprep from the 2008 media , you want
the schxx.ldf files there, they contain the schema mods that adprep will
make. The 2003 only goes to sch30.ldf and 2003r2 only goes to sch31.ldf
!

Need to add our first 2008 server on our existing 2003 server
AD. I want to make the 2008 server a domain controller. Which adprep
should I be running on the existing servers? The one for 2003 or the one
for 2008 or are they the same?

        Thanks,
