Same here. About 50% of the systems I fix for home users are ones that were
just touched by Geek Squad. Either the problem was not fixed or they made
the system worse. And when you see how much they pay their techs, you can
see why…

I really don't think you want to place yourself in the same class as the
Geek Squad bunch. I have come in behind them several times and had to fix
things that they either broke or did not install at all. As for pricing
price yourself lower than them and doing a better job will get you a
reputation that will help you increase your price and customer base. I have
had several family members seem to think that I am their personal fix it guy
but thank God they are not local. Most of my friends understand I need some
family time and don't call be at my former day job unless it was really
urgent.

Way too cheap. Don't know where you are, but the Geek Squad is $99/hour
even
in low-priced Tucson here. One of the local companies I use to do hardware
work is $95/hour.

I bill in 1/4-hour increments with a 2-hour onsite minimum, but I don't bill
for drive time. For phone or remote support or support done in my office I
bill in 0.1-hour increments, so there is a huge incentive to have me work
remotely or bring me the gear to work on.

+1 on Jonathan Link's comments about pricing high and discounting home
users.
